Do you accept Insurance?
We work with most insurance plans. Please call our insurance specialist to answer any questions you may have so that you may begin your journey into Chiropractic care to improve your level of health.
Do Chiropractic adjustments create any discomfort?
Extensive consultation and evaluation is performed to determine appropriate treatment and specific spinal adjustments. The Chiropractic adjustment itself takes a few minutes. The adjustment corrects spinal subluxations (misalignments) that can cause pain or other symptoms. Typically, chiropractic adjustments do not hurt. Sometimes minor discomfort may occur after initial adjustments – in most cases these are minor and don’t exceed soreness or stiffness one feels after an intensive exercise session.
Is Chiropractic safe?
Chiropractic adjustments or manipulations are extremely safe and have been performed for over a hundred years. Doctors of Chiropractic undertake an extensive education program to become Chiropractors. They are highly trained professionals with many years of hands-on experience. Chiropractic procedures are natural and drug free. Like most Chiropractors, our conservative approach is chiropractic first, medicine second and surgery as a last resort.
What can I expect on my first visit?
We undertake a full evaluation to determine if Chiropractic will work for you. This includes a consultation that documents your relevant history. We build a profile that helps us understand your issue, how it impacts your ability to function, and includes other pertinent information about your family, your lifestyle and activities, diet, sports and job to recommend the most appropriate care for you. Once your patient profile is complete, we perform a thorough physical examination including digital x-rays & other relevant procedures. A thorough spinal examination is performed to identify any structural conditions. Dr. A then puts together a report of findings which is discussed with you on your second visit.
What is a Chiropractic adjustment?
The Chiropractic “adjustment” corrects subluxation (misalignments) by reducing joint fixations and relieving nerve pressure. This increases mobility and flexibility of the spinal column and improves function of the nervous system.
How long does Chiropractic care take?
No two patients are alike and conditions differ. Depending on the severity of the condition, the cause and how long the condition has persisted, treatment programs could differ substantially. Treatment could be a few weeks to a few months or more. Your response to the care program, what our analysis shows and your overall health and fitness level will determine how long your treatment lasts.
